Basics
Internet: There is high-speed internet access:

Bins / Recycling: The blue bin is emptied on Monday once every two weeks. Please bag all your waste in the black bin liners provided, tie them up and place in the blue bin. As this is classed as a non-residential property, the local council do not collect the refuse for recycling. Cardboard, plastic, tins and glass can be recycled in the community recycle bins in the entrance to the school. Access only outside school hours. There are also recycling stations in Hawes, Askrigg and Leyburn.
Fuses: The electric "fuses" can be found in the cupboard above the door out of the kitchen. All switches should be in the up position. If any are in the down position, then there is no electricity on that circuit. To rectify the problem, push the switch up. If the problem persists please call the owner (number below) or the emergency electrician.
Light Bulbs: On your arrival all the light bulbs should be working. If any fail during your visit there are spare bulbs in the drop-down desk in the bureau.
Heating / Extra Hot Water: See instructions in the operating instructions manual
Wet Coats: There are hooks on the wall in the cupboard under the stairs
Books & Maps: There are a number of novels some at the bottom of the stairs and some in the bottom drawer of the bureau. If you only get part way through your book, you are welcome to take it home and if you have one to leave in its place that would be great, but not necessary. Please though, can you leave the local history and geography books and maps.
Games: There are a number of board games, dominos and cards in the third drawer of the bureau.
Leaving: On the last morning of your visit please strip the beds you have used leaving the bedding in the linen basket together with towels, tea towels, oven gloves etc.
